Project Description

LOW/MEDIUM SPEED ASCENDING VENTURI

Abbreviation

LOW/MEDIUM SPEED ASCENDING VENTURI

Description

The “ascending Venturi” wet dust remover operates by injecting water into the Venturi cone without nozzles by falling from the supply tank.
The air velocity is so high that it finely pulverises the wash water with subsequent close mixing.
In the Venturi diffuser, the speed of the aeriform substance decreases with the formation of strong turbulence and the dust particles are captured by the airborne water droplets.
The flow then goes to the drop separator with a high efficiency static centrifuge, where the separation between the liquid and the gas that is sent to the chimney to be expulsed into the atmosphere, occurs.
The liquid/dust mixture, discharged from the drop separator, reaches the water supply tank of the plant, where decantation and sludge discharge, the reintegration with the mains water (managed with a level control system) and recirculation and sending to the mixing throat.
The ascending Venturi has no recirculation pumps nor water mist nozzles assembled, thus eliminating the parts generally subject to wear and maintenance.
Abatement efficiency is high (on dust between 20 and 50µ it reaches 90%), with low water consumption.
Its operation is automatic and is simple to manage, with much less maintenance work.
